Kaikoura, Sandbanks, Poole, Dorset
Property: A new-build, modernist-style, 2 storey house with basement compriseing approx 300m2, sitting in a 2 acre garden plot with tennis court and swimming pool in Sandbanks, Poole, Dorset.
Budget: None specified
Client: Margot & Adrian Worley
Client Brief:
Their requirements for the ground floor of this house are for a relaxing and calm environment where they can get away from the pressures of the outside world. They enjoy having friends and family to dinner and have guests to stay on a regular basis. They enjoy collecting art and displaying it within their home. They are not into knicknacks and dislike clutter or things that gather dust.
The 3 cats have been known to break rather pricey vases and lamps so lighting should be ceiling or wall based. Adrian and Margot are passionate about books and have a vast collection that is ever growing.
The house should be fitted with environmentally-friendly finishes and materials and should be completed with as low a carbon footprint as practically possible, as well as being easy to clean and maintain. They are practical about eco-friendly finishes but not fanatical. At the very least the product should be recyclable
They sought a clean, contemporary timeless space where they can unwind and enjoy their time at home.
Project Brief:
